Overview

Offset (“the App”) is developed by Jayden Kerr. Your privacy is taken seriously. This policy explains how the App handles your data.

In short: Offset does not collect, track, or share any personal data.

Data Collection

Offset does not collect any personal data whatsoever. The App’s privacy manifest explicitly declares:

• No data is collected (NSPrivacyCollectedDataTypes is empty)
• No tracking is performed (NSPrivacyTracking is false)
• No tracking domains are contacted

Third-Party Services

Offset does not use any third-party services. The App is built entirely with Apple frameworks — SwiftUI, SwiftData, CloudKit, StoreKit 2, and the system SQLite library. There are no third-party analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or advertising frameworks included in the App.

On-Device Storage

All of your data is stored locally on your device:

• Offsets and lists are stored using SwiftData, backed by a local SQLite database
• App preferences (such as clock style, selected offset, home city, and appearance settings) are stored using UserDefaults

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to any external server.

City Database

Offset includes a bundled database of over 33,000 cities sourced from GeoNames under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. This database is packaged within the App itself. No network requests are made to look up city data — all searches are performed entirely on your device.

iCloud Sync

If you are signed into iCloud on your device, Offset syncs your data across your iOS devices using Apple’s private cloud infrastructure:

• Offsets and lists sync via SwiftData’s built-in CloudKit integration, which stores records in your private iCloud database
• App settings (such as clock style and home city) sync via NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore (iCloud Key-Value Store)

This data is stored in your private iCloud container. It is not accessible to the developer, any third party, or other iCloud users. Apple’s iCloud infrastructure is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

If iCloud is unavailable or disabled, the App functions entirely offline using local storage. No data is lost.

Advertising

Offset contains no advertising. There are no ad networks, ad tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers used within the App.

Analytics and Tracking

Offset does not include any analytics or tracking mechanisms. The App does not use device identifiers, fingerprinting techniques, or any form of usage tracking. Your activity within the App is not monitored or recorded.

In-App Purchases

Offset Pro is available as a one-time in-app purchase processed through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit 2. All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. The developer does not receive or store any payment information.

Children’s Privacy

Offset does not collect data from any user, including children. The App is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be published on this page with an updated date. As Offset does not collect any data, there is no means to notify users directly of policy changes.
